Ernest used to come over to our house in Ft. Worth, Texas in the late 30s and early 40s. He was a good friend of the family. My dad, Lowell Keith, had a recorder that made 78 rpm records and Ernest would come over to try out songs that he wrote to see how they sounded. He would play his guitar and sing. I have the old recordings though they are in very poor condition. I think I have the first recording of him singing "Walking the Floor Over You" that was ever recorded. He also wrote a song for my mom that was never recorded professionally. I think it may have been called "Thinking of You". On one of the records he sings "Old Shep" but substitutes my dogs name "Old Frisky". I was about four years old at the time but remember the recording sessions. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.0.92.165 (talk) 06:53, 7 September 2010 (UTC)
